What Is a Gastric Balloon?
A gastric balloon is a non-surgical weight loss intervention using a soft silicone balloon that is inserted endoscopically and filled with 500–700ml of saline. The balloon remains in the stomach for 6–12 months.
The balloon occupies gastric space, slows stomach emptying, and reduces appetite - helping you eat less and feel full sooner.
